Tue. 7-24-12(route still being finalized for 2012 - may be subject to change)We'll see windfarms in the distance, before we loop over Keuka Lake, one of the Finger Lakes in the middle part of the state, and have lunch in Penn Yan, home to the largest Buckwheat Pancake according to Guinness Records. In the afternoon we'll hug the shoreline of Seneca Lake, another of the long thin lakes, and past more than 12 wineries (of the more than 70 that are squished into this region) making it the largest wine producing area east of the Mississippi. Feel free to stop and taste some of the wines; our SAG will swing by late in the afternoon and pick-up wines you that buy so you won't have to carry that Dry Reisling on your bike.
We'll spend the night in Watkins Glen. Save some legs to hike the amazing glen this town is named for, or book a dinner cruise
