The 2011 ride was a blast and we donated over $5,400 to the Double H Ranch. YEAH! Thanks to everyone who participated. Plan to join us on this year's fun challenge. Come earn your bragging rights ... you'll certainly impress your friends back home, and maybe even yourself, too! There's still time to train for this 500 mile bicycle ride sign-up now. About FANY: We ride 500 challenging miles simply because it's fun, and because NY has amazing scenery to explore. To us, it's all about the route and the new biking friends we've made by the end of the week. We consider meeting and supporting the friendly people of upstate NY to be another chance to explore and make new friends. Besides, it's the polite thing to do if we're riding through their town. So FANY doesn't have rest stops; we encourage bikers to stop at the Mom & Pop's along the route and support those who are trying to make a living in the tiny villages we ride through. Don't worry, we let them know you're coming through, and we'll let you know the exact mileage where they are. Stopping where and when you want is part of the adventure and independent spirit of bikers on The Great Big FANY Ride; hope it's not a dealbreaker for you. One last thing - we aren't a pledge ride, but if you'd like to make a voluntary donation to The Double H Ranch, that would be just great!
