The Great Big FANY Ride will proudly contribute at least 5% from each paid registration to Double H Ranch, a not-for-profit camp that exists to provide children living with chronic illness a chance to get away and just be a kid in an outdoor Adirondack Adventure. In 2011, contributions from The Great Big FANY Ride totaled over $5,400!That's enough to sponsor 3 campers for a whole week! So a GREAT BIG THANKS to all who participated last year!
Our ideal goal for our 12th year is to be able to donate $7,200 for 4 campers. Please help us out if you can. Donations are completely voluntary, but if you feel the calling to get optional pledges from friends or family for all the miles you'll bike on FANY, you can help The Double H Ranch do wonderful things. Or if your employer offers a matching donation program, please consider Double H in your end-of-the-year giving, and be sure to list FANY Ride on your check memo line, or in the "In honor of " space on their on-line donation form. Slightly more than half of the Double H Ranch campers come from within New York State, and the rest come from states that are well represented by past FANY Riders. Geographically speaking it's a great match, and we both celebrate life outdoors. Oh heck, The FANY Ride is just plain honored to contribute to this outstanding organization.
